Let’s start at the top.
These are the real deal and are from the respected cannabis confectionaire Devour. Tasty. Delicious. Potent.
Here at East Coast Amsterdam, we have a saying to guide edibles consumption. I cut the square into four pieces. I took one quarter piece (approximately 25mg of THC) followed by a second quarter two hours later.
An hour after the second dose, I was over the top
WHEN YOU FEEL THAT YOU ARE ONE WITH THE UNIVERSE, YOU’RE STONED
Don’t eat the full square. At least for your first experience with these chocolates. Less is more.
The night before I felt I was one with the universe, I’d eaten half a square. The squares are roughly the size of a Dove chocolate square.
Edibles usually hit for me an hour and a half to two hours after eating. I’d eaten half a square and didn’t think it was hitting.
And then I found myself being very, very chatty, way more than usual.
AND THEN I LOOKED OVER AND REALIZED MY BETTER HALF WAS FAST ASLEEP. FIFTY MILLIGRAMS WILL DO THAT.
I can only imagine what a single, whole square would do.
Sometimes with edibles, the high is subtle. One telltale sign for me is cottonmouth. I don’t get cottonmouth all the time, but I do get cottonmouth both from combustion and from edibles. When the cottonmouth hits from edibles, that tells me to take note and see what other impact there is.
With these candies, it was balanced. I noticed my balance was off. And then I realized I was stoned.
